The New America Foundation released a new study on 14 September 2010 by AAN’s Martine van Bijlert: ‘The Battle for Afghanistan: Zabul and Uruzgan’. The paper, which is part of a series, explores the origins and evolution of the Taleban networks in these provinces and is based on several hundred interviews over the course of the last four years.
