In this article for the Berlin-based daily, AAN’s Thomas Ruttig reports the recent UNAMA reports pointing out Taleban human rights violations against Afghans forcibly returned to Afghanistan. He puts this in the context of repeated Taleban assurances, after a recent (second) German deportation flight to Kabul, that their leader’s general “amnesty” also covered returnees and reports in German media that another Taleban spokesman had kept the option open of retrials of deported criminal offenders under the sharia.
