In an op-ed commentary (in German) for the Berlin-based daily, AAN’s Thomas Ruttig comments on Germany’s ‘deportation offensive’, underpinned by self-declared ‘technical’ contacts with the Taleban regime, the German interior ministry exchanging personnel data with Afghan diplomatic missions in the country which have been staffed by consular officials dispatched by the Taleban and a statement of interior minister Dobrindt that the law also would allow deportations of Afghan women. He calls this an ‘ideological paradigm’ (the priority on deportations) becoming practical policy and smashing ‘moral boundaries.’
