I went from one lawyer’s office to another, listening to their views on the trial. Almost every interview could have led to an entire article. And I read academic analyses of Western efforts to install the rule of law in Afghanistan as well as three perceptive articles by researchers at the Afghanistan Analysts Network, a Kabul based think tank.
