The Kabul-based magazine website reports about the launch of the Election Reporting Network (ERN), a countrywide cooperation between 70 Afghan journalists who came together in Kabul for a 2-day seminar organised in a cooperation by Mediothek Afghanistan, with financial support from the German government, and AAN.
“Joined by representatives from Afghanistan Analysts Network (AAN) and the Free and Fair Election Forum of Afghanistan (FEFA), participants drafted the goals of ERN in a manifesto that commits Afghan journalists to a professional code for reporting on candidates, results, grass-roots organisations, minorities, the general public, ethnic tensions, civil society and violence, the [final] statement [of the participants] said.”
