Watch a video of Germany’s second largest public broadcaster ZDF (in German), from its Sunday’s “Berlin direct” programme, with a short balance of the German participation in the international Afghanistan mission, on the occasion of the opening of a memorial for the German soldiers killed in the country. With a short quote of AAN#s Thomas Ruttig saying that one of the key problems was the military side of the mission gaining priority over the civil sector, as the Afgham mission became part of Bush’s ‘war on terror’.
