The Afghan TV’s website (mis)quotes AAN’s Ehsan Qaane saying that the Haqqani case was referred to the ICC – this was not what we reported, but rather that this case was among a number of cases on which the Afghan government shared information with the ICC. It did so in an attempt to show its ability and willingness to prosecute war crimes inside the country and that it does not need the ICC to step in).
